Isringhausen Imports needs your help to fight hunger this holiday season. We’ve pledged to donate $100 for every vehicle sold in December – new or pre-owned – to Central Illinois Foodbank.
On any given day, one in eight Illinois households is food-insecure. Thousands of military veterans, children and the elderly are uncertain where their next meal will come from. Many households that experience food insecurity do not qualify for federal nutrition programs and rely on their local food banks for support.
“We’re proud to partner once again with Central Illinois Foodbank,” says Geoff Isringhausen. “Previously, we donated a commercial van to aid in the delivery of fresh produce, lean protein and milk. That’s just one example of the creative solutions the food bank is pursuing to alleviate hunger in our community.”
$1 Donated = Six Meals
Central Illinois Foodbank, established in 1982, distributes 9 million pounds of food annually to over 160 food pantries, soup kitchens, residential programs and after-school programs in a 21 county region. The mission of the Foodbank is to provide food and develop awareness of and creative solutions for food insecurity.
For every dollar donated, the food bank is able to provide six meals for our neighbors in need. Please help us support the food bank, now through the end of the year.
If you are not in the market for a new vehicle, please consider giving directly to Central Illinois Foodbank. You may do so here.
