BMW has begun accepting preorders for the first-ever XM sports activity vehicle (SAV), the first electrified BMW M model in history. It is equipped with a 4.4-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo V-8 engine, paired with a high-performance electric motor, that combine to produce an impressive 644 hp.

The exterior styling is distinctive. A sloping roofline complements sharp arches and 23-inch M wheels. An aerodynamic rear diffuser boasts the first-ever vertical quad exhaust. The trademark BMW Roundels are laser-etched, a nod to the original BMW M1 mid-engine sports car.
