Isringhausen Motorsports will be racing 2 Porsches in the International GT Tour at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas on November 6th, 2022. Team Isringhausen will compete with Porsche 718 GT4 Clubsport models. It is an honor for Isringhausen to take part at Circuit of the Americas, the first track in the United States that was purpose-built for Formula 1. This year will mark the 5th trip to Circuit of the Americas for International GT. The first was 2017, and with 2020 being cancelled due to Covid, 2022 will be number 5. The famous F1 circuit is an unmatched facility which attracts more IGT competitors each year. 2022 is no different, as they have broken the entry record for COTA this week.
Circuit of the Americas (COTA) is a Grade 1, FIA-specification 3.426-mile (5.514 km) motor racing track and facilities located within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Austin, Texas, in the United States. The facility is home to the Formula One United States Grand Prix. Tavo Hellmund of Speed TV, revealed that the circuit is be made up of twenty turns with an elevation change of 133 feet (41 m). The final plan of the circuit was released on September 1, 2010, showing a design inspired by the European tradition of sculpting the circuit to the contours of the land, and by October 2012 the track was open and ready for use.
