Isringhausen Imports has announced the inaugural recipient of its new grant program for small downtown Springfield startup businesses: The Wakery, a late night coffeehouse and alcohol-free bar slated to open west of the Old State Capitol in the coming months. Owner/operator Elizabeth Wake will receive a sizable cash grant from Isringhausen, to be used for remodeling, inventory, equipment, advertising, and/or other start-up related costs.
“Downtown Springfield has been good to Isringhausen Imports, and we would like to return the favor by helping a new generation of local entrepreneurs achieve their dreams,” said Geoff Isringhausen.
In addition to non-alcoholic (NA) cocktails, The Wakery will serve a selection of NA beers, craft lemonades, teas, and hot and cold coffee drinks. They also will offer locally sourced baked goods from Incredibly Delicious, Golden Hour Bakehouse, and other establishments.
Isringhausen is committed to the growth and vitality of the downtown Springfield area and is proud to support new businesses like The Wakery. Follow us on social media for more news about The Wakery as their opening approaches.
