Dale Diamond, a parts delivery driver at Isringhausen Imports, recently achieved a remarkable milestone in the world of sports: his 60th appearance at the United States Bowling Congress Open Championships. This feat, accomplished in mid-April in Las Vegas, was a momentous occasion for Dale, who was accompanied by his wife, Janann, and their four children. To commemorate his remarkable longevity at the event, Dale was presented with a plaque, chevron, and engraved money clip.
Dale, a resident of Chatham, made his first appearance at the Open Championships in his home state of Iowa in 1962, and he’s made an annual trip to the tournament each year since 1967. Dale bowled his first perfect game at 21 and later competed in a televised tournament on ABC TV.
While competing at Open Championships, Dale has knocked down an astonishing 98,585 pins with a championship average of 182.5. He rolled a 298-game at the 1989 event in Wichita, Kansas, and posted a 738-series during the 1993 tournament in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Isringhausen salutes Dale on this amazing achievement and wishes him many more championship appearances.
