Isringhausen Porsche is excited to announce the arrival of an extremely limited-edition 2024 911 GT3 RS with Tribute to Carrera RS Package. This rare gem is an homage to the 1973 911 Carrera RS 2.7, a legendary driver’s car and an icon in its own right.
The Tribute to Carrera RS Package includes unique styling elements for both the exterior and interior, including magnesium wheels painted in Python Green, Python Green mirror caps, and GT3 RS side graphics. The Porsche script on the underside of the wing and a GT3 RS graphic on the rear bumper continue the theme, which is completed by a special RS logo on the wing end plates featuring the American flag.
The standard Weissach Package adds a significant amount of exposed carbon fiber to both the interior and exterior, as well as chassis components in the same material. The package also adds carbon fiber anti-roll bars, coupling rods and a shear panel in the same material.
In terms of performance, the 911 GT3 RS is truly exceptional. It is equipped with a powerful 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated six-cylinder boxer engine that delivers an impressive 518 horsepower and 346 lb-ft of torque. Car and Driver even referred to it as a "surprisingly civilized race car for the road."

Fifty years ago, a genre-defining Porsche legend was born in the shape of the Carrera RS 2.7. Characterized by its “ducktail” spoiler, wide wheel arches, and Carrera side script, the car was a marvel of lightweight engineering and aerodynamics. It also was the fastest German production car built to date, accelerating from 0 – 60 mph in 5.8 seconds with a top speed of 152 mph.
Those were sensational figures in the early 1970s—and they still are. The 911 Carrera RS 2.7 is a milestone in Porsche sports car history and continues to shine today.
More about the Ducktail
Although visually distinctive, the Carrera RS 2.7’s ducktail spoiler was added for more practical reasons. During testing, the car had too much lift, causing it to behave unpredictably at high speeds. A small rear spoiler was added to generate more downforce.
About the Name
1973 911 Carrera RS 2.7 was the first 911 to be christened “Carrera.” The inspiration for the name came from the Carrera Panamericana, a legendary (and highly dangerous) Mexican road race that ran from border to border for five consecutive years in the early 1950s. Porsche secured a memorable class victory in the 1953 event with a 550 Spyder and third place overall a year later.
The performance and cultural impact of the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 story was considerable. It was a true halo car for Porsche, one that, in the 50 years since this game-changing car was launched, has adorned the bedroom walls and screensavers of thousands of Porsche fans the world over.
