Isringhausen Imports hosted its second annual Test Drive Towards a Cure event on Saturday, Sept. 21st. Scores of excited people showed up to test drive an assortment of luxury vehicles to benefit two great organizations dedicated to winning the fight against breast cancer: Susan G. Komen and Land of Lincoln Pink Warriors.
The morning kicked off with a live in-store radio broadcast by Sam Madonia and the gang at Sports Radio 1450. Pro wrestler and local sports team co-owner Jeff Jarrett dropped by to promote an upcoming event and lend his encouragement. Shortly thereafter, excited car enthusiasts began arriving to test drive seven unique luxury vehicles, including beauties like the Porsche Taycan, BMW i5, and Volvo XC90. For each mile driven, Isringhausen pledged to donate two dollars. Additionally, several individuals made cash donations to both organizations.
The weather was beautiful, aside from a brief afternoon shower. Thrilled drivers continued to arrive until the 4:00 p.m. close of the event. On-air personalities from 104.5 WFMB and 99.7 The Mix also chatted with Isringhausen staff, test drivers, and others.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by to test drive one or more vehicles for such a wonderful cause. Final figures for the event, including miles driven and dollars raised, are still being tallied. Look for an update soon.
