Each year, Illinois Times, a free weekly newspaper based in Springfield, asks its opinionated readers to vote for their favorite people, places, and things in the Springfield area. The results are published in the highly anticipated "Best of Springfield" issue, which arrived on newsstands in late October. For the second year in a row, Isringhausen Imports earned top honors in the Best Auto Dealer (New) and Best Auto Dealer (Used) categories. Additionally, Isringhausen's Brandon Horner was named Best Auto Salesperson. A special mention goes to Brian Mitchell for being a finalist.

There are more than 200 categories in all, covering everything from hamburgers and men's clothing stores to tattoo artists and mobile pet groomers. Each year, the free newspaper holds an initial nomination round beginning in mid-August. The top five vote-getters in each category move on to the final voting. The competition is intense. For instance, the Best Museum category alone received 87,000+ votes last year.
