The Old Glory Ultra Relay is a 3,000-mile cross-country run organized by Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB), a nonprofit dedicated to supporting veterans' health and wellness. Twelve veterans carried a single American flag from San Diego, California, to Washington, D.C., running nonstop for 16 days. The relay set a world record for continuously relaying a single American flag across the continental U.S.
Runners faced extreme conditions, including blistering heat, snowy mountain passes, and elevation changes, but kept the flag moving at all times. The relay concluded at the National Mall, where supporters gathered to celebrate the achievement.
BMW was instrumental in the relay, providing crucial support throughout the journey. Four BMW X7s accompanied the runners, mapping routes, adjusting for unexpected detours, and handling logistical challenges along the way. Each vehicle bore a custom wrap paying tribute to a branch of the U.S. military, serving as a mobile command center for the runners and their crew. With BMW's presence, the flag remained in motion, and the team stayed safe.
Now, during the Power the Mission Sales Event, BMW is backing the mission even further. For every new BMW sold through June 2nd, Isringhausen BMW will donate $25 to Team RWB—fueling programs that help veterans live healthier lives and driving toward the $1 million fundraising goal.
