Isringhausen Imports concluded a season of giving with a donation of over $13,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois (RMHCCI). The gift was comprised of $100 for each vehicle sold by Isringhausen in December, plus generous donations from employees and customers of the Springfield dealership. Isringhausen Imports presented a check to Kelly Thompson, Executive Director of RMHCCI, on January 17th. Also on hand were several RMHCCI board members and staff as well as local McDonald's restaurant operators.
“We welcome the opportunity to give back to Springfield-area causes like Ronald McDonald House Charities,” says Geoff Isringhausen. “We recently celebrated a pair of import milestones: our thirty-fifth year in business and our twenty-fifth year of being an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer. Neither would have been possible without the support of Central Illinois residents, so we are thrilled give back to the community that has been so good to us.”
“Thanks so much to the caring owners and employees of Isringhausen Imports for this fantastic donation of almost $14,000, which will help us keep many families close during their child's medical crisis!,” wrote RMHCCI on its Facebook page. “We are grateful for this fantastic show of support for our families!”
Besides the cash donation, Isringhausen Imports also partnered with WICS Newschannel 20 and Fox Illinois as part of their annual Joy of Sharing event. Each weekend in December, Isringhausen parked cargo vans in front of the local Toys “R” Us and Hy-Vee stores to collect toys and food items for Toys for Tots and the Central Illinois Food Bank, respectively.
