Fun fact
Chrysler launched a TV series called “Viper” in 1994 to serve as a promotional tool for the Viper. "Viper" is a TV series about a special task force set up by the federal government to fight crime in the fictional city of Metro City. The weapon used by this task force is a grey assault vehicle known as The Defender that masquerades as a Dodge Viper RT/10 roadster (and later, the Viper GTS coupe). The show ran until 1998 with 1 NBC season and 3 syndicated follow-up seasons. Episodes can be viewed on YouTube.
