Isringhausen Imports has reached an agreement with the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) Department of Athletics to participate in the school’s Courtesy Car Program. The Springfield auto dealer has provided UIS Athletics Director Jim Sarra with a vehicle to be used over the course of the next 12 months and, in return, will receive special promotional opportunities through the athletics department. The vehicle, a BMW X4 SUV, was presented to Jim on July 27 at Isringhausen Imports.
“We’re proud to support UIS athletics through its Courtesy Car Program,” said Geoff Isringhausen. “UIS is a tremendous asset to the community, bringing to Springfield not only world-class academics but also collegiate sports, performing arts and a great campus atmosphere.”
“I am thrilled to begin this partnership with Geoff Isringhausen and Isringhausen Imports, as I know it will greatly benefit both parties,” said UIS Director of Athletics Jim Sarra. “Through this deal, we are bringing together two major entities of the Springfield community, working towards continually enhancing the UIS brand, while making it synonymous with greatness, something Isringhausen has already accomplished.”
The Importance of Student Athletics
The benefits of student athletics are well known; they promote improved fitness and academics while fostering a sense of pride in one’s school and community. To that end, Isringhausen supports a number of local sports-related organizations, including Springfield Youth Hockey, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Troops and Cops for Kids and more.
“Athletics also teach teamwork, time management, self-discipline and perseverance – qualities we look for when hiring new employees,” added Geoff.
