Car and Driver has given the 2018 Mercedes-AMG E43 an overall five-star review, calling it “the sweet spot between high performance and high class.” In particular, the venerable auto magazine raved about the E43’s opulent interior, 396-hp twin-turbo V-6 engine, air suspension and excellent all-wheel-drive handling. Exterior:

"The E43’s exterior is essentially the same as the elegant-yet-sedate Mercedes-Benz E-class, except the AMG exudes more attitude with its lower ride height, chrome-tipped grille, de-chromed exterior, and exclusive wheel designs."

Safety and Driver Assistance:
